This course gives you more background knowledge on toxicological risk assessments.

You will learn how to obtain and assess toxicological and pharmacological documentation. We take a closer look at how to carry out risk identification and risk assessment of medicinal products, chemicals, biocides and pesticides.

• Guidelines
• Internet databases
• Examples of risk assessments
• Exercises in risk assessment

Target group
You have basic knowledge of biology/chemistry and toxicological principles.

Participants who have attended the course Toxicology in one day will get a more thorough review of how to carry out toxicological risk assessments. However, it is not a requirement that you have attended this course.

After the course
you will have more insight in the requirements for carrying out toxicological risk assessments and how to obtain the necessary documentation. However, you cannot expect to be able to carry out toxicological risk assessments on your own.

Course structure
The course combines lectures with hands-on exercises. The training encourages dialogue and interaction among the participants.
