This two-day course/workshop is designed for people who are engaged in analysing phytoplankton pigments. We will discuss the many aspects of pigment analysis such as:
- Filtration of samples
- Extraction
- Choice of HPLC method
- Calibration
- Quality assurance
- Reporting results
- Calculation of phytoplankton composition and biomass
- Future potentials for the method
Each topic will start with a 10-minute presentation. Participants are encouraged to present their own challenges and experience.
Target group
The course is directed at phytoplankton HPLC analysts and pigment data users.
After the course
you will be able to achieve state-of-the-art pigment analyses.

Course structure
The course combines presentations with hands-on exercises based on own experiences. The training encourages dialogue and interaction amongst the participants.
